Bicycle Accidents in California
Bicycle accidents do not happen as often as other types of crashes. However, they are often more dangerous and deadly than car accidents and other collisions. A bicyclist has no protection from the impact of a crash and is likely to be seriously injured when they are struck by a vehicle.
The cause of every crash must be carefully investigated. In many instances, the accident could have been prevented through the use of ordinary care and caution. A majority of accidents are caused by negligence including speeding, reckless driving, impairment, and distraction. Unfortunately, innocent victims are often affected.
Under California’s injury laws, accident victims or their families could be entitled to compensation following a crash.
