Los Angeles, CA (April 28, 2024) – A man was killed after being struck by a car in Los Angeles on Sunday morning, April 28th. The accident took place just before 2:00 a.m. on Western Avenue, just south of Washington Boulevard.

According to a report from the scene, the man was attempting to cross Western Avenue when he was struck by a black pickup truck. The 65-year-old pedestrian was knocked down in the road and was possibly hit by a second car after the initial collision. Rescue workers arrived and pronounced the victim dead at the scene. His identity was not immediately released. Officials did not provide any additional details on the black truck or the driver involved. An investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call the Los Angeles Police Department. No additional details are available.
