Artesia, CA – Fatal Multi-Car Accident on 91 Freeway at I-605 Interchange

Artesia, CA (March 21, 2024) – Multiple vehicles were involved in a fatal crash that took place in Artesia on Wednesday, March 20th. The crash occurred just before 9:00 a.m. on the Artesia 91 Freeway near the interchange for Interstate 605.

According to a report from the California Highway Patrol, a white truck and several other cars collided in the HOV lane of the freeway. The Los Angeles County Fire Department and Sheriff’s office responded to the crash scene. One person succumbed to their injuries. It is unknown if anyone else was hurt due to the accident. Several vehicles had to be towed away from the scene as authorities cleared the area. There is no word on how the accident took place at this time. No one involved has been identified and there is no word on whether any charges are expected to be filed.
