Mission Hills, CA – Deadly Accident at 118 Fwy & Burnet Ave Under Inquiry
Mission Hills, CA (August 15, 2024) – A 24-year-old man died after a car crashed into the backyard of a home in Mission Hills Monday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident was reported around 11:00 p.m. on the 10000 block of N. Burnet Avenue. Following an area accident, one of the cars involved crashed off the 118 Freeway and down into an embankment before landing in the backyard.
One victim, who was the driver of that vehicle, was pronounced dead, CHP said. Law enforcement did not release the name of the deceased but only described that individual as a 24-year-old man from Pacoima. EMTs also assessed a handful of people for injuries at the site.
However, there is no word on whether any charges will be filed in connection with the crash, and no further details are available at this time.
