Cathedral City, CA (July 10, 2025) – A devastating crash involving a semi-truck left at least two people dead and others injured on Thursday, July 10, in Riverside County.

The California Highway Patrol reported that the crash occurred shortly after 6:30 a.m. in the westbound lanes of the I-10 Fwy, just east of Date Palm Dr, near Cathedral City. Dashcam footage shows the big rig, which was hauling a large trailer, traveling in the far-right lane before suddenly veering across all lanes toward the center median. As it moved across the freeway, the trailer began to tip over.

The reason the truck lost control remains unknown. Officials have not confirmed how many other vehicles were involved, but the crash happened in a high-traffic area near homes and businesses.
