DUI-Related Car Accidents in San Diego
Car accidents involving drunk drivers remain a serious issue in San Diego. Despite awareness campaigns and strict laws, impaired driving still causes many injuries and deaths each year. Alcohol affects a driver’s judgment, coordination, and reaction time, all of which increase the risk of serious crashes.
In this recent case in the Skyline neighborhood, the driver of a Ford Explorer allegedly ran a red light while under the influence and struck a Tesla. This type of reckless behavior not only puts lives at risk but also leads to severe legal consequences. Victims of DUI-related crashes often suffer long-lasting physical and emotional damage. Medical costs, time away from work, and pain from the injuries can add up quickly.
California law allows victims of DUI accidents to pursue compensation through a personal injury claim. These claims can help cover hospital bills, rehabilitation, lost income, and emotional suffering. In some cases, punitive damages may also be available to punish the wrongdoer and deter similar actions in the future.
Injured victims don’t have to face this process alone. A skilled car accident attorney from Khorshidi Law Firm can guide them through every step.
