Phelan, CA – ATV Rider Dies in Crash with SUV on Hwy. 138

Phelan, CA (June 8, 2024) – Police near the Phelan area responded to the scene of a fatal crash involving an ATV on Friday, June 7th. The crash happened around noon on Highway 138 at Rancho de la Garto.

According to a report from the California Highway Patrol, the accident involved an ATV and an SUV. There is no word on the circumstances leading up to the collision for now. Rescue workers rushed the ATV rider to a local hospital where they ultimately succumbed to their injuries. The identity of the victim has not been released. No additional injuries were reported in the collision. There is no word at this time on whether any charges are expected to be filed. No further details are available.
