Inglewood, CA (June 3, 2025) – Several people, including two young children, suffered injuries after a police chase ended in a crash on Tuesday, June 2.

According to Culver City Police, officers pursued a suspect involved in an armed carjacking. The suspect fled when officers tried to stop him. The crash happened near the intersection of Centinela Avenue and La Brea Avenue.

Police say the suspect ran a red light and hit another vehicle. Four people were in the suspect’s car: the suspect himself, a woman, and two children, ages 5 and 9.

Everyone in the suspect’s vehicle sustained injuries that were not life-threatening. The driver of the other car also suffered minor injuries. Authorities confirmed that the car was linked to an earlier armed carjacking incident. Officers had briefly made contact with the suspect before he fled.

“We’re thankful no one was seriously hurt,” said Culver City PD spokesperson Jennifer Atenza. “But it’s always tragic to see someone show such disregard for life.”

Officials are still working to understand all the details. The investigation is ongoing.
