Los Angeles, CA (June 8, 2025) – A deadly two-car crash in the Sun Valley neighborhood of Los Angeles left one person dead and three others hurt on Saturday, June 7.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the accident occurred around 3:33 p.m. at the intersection of Laurel Canyon Boulevard and Strathern Street. Emergency crews arrived to find four people involved. One victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Another person, in critical condition, was trapped inside a severely damaged vehicle. Firefighters worked to extricate the individual before paramedics rushed them to a local trauma center.

Two other individuals sustained minor injuries but declined medical transport.

Footage from the crash scene showed a dark-colored Chevy Silverado with major front-end damage and a silver sedan that appeared crushed on the passenger side. The windshield was partially dislodged, and debris covered the area. First responders could be seen removing one person on a stretcher and placing a white covering over part of the sedan.

Officials have not released the names of the victims or confirmed if the deceased individual was one of those trapped. No further details have been provided about the cause of the crash.

Investigators are still working to determine what led to the collision.
