Long Beach, CA – Fatal Pedestrian Hit-and-Run at Ocean Blvd & Falcon Ave

Long Beach, CA (June 22, 2025) – A man lost his life on Saturday, June 21, after being struck by multiple vehicles in a deadly pedestrian crash at Ocean Boulevard and Falcon Avenue.
Officers with the Long Beach Police Department were called to the scene around 9:30 p.m. When they arrived, they found a man lying on the road. He was pronounced dead on-site. His name has not yet been released to the public.
Police say the crash involved three separate vehicles. A dark-colored sedan was heading east on Ocean Blvd when it hit the man while he was in a marked crosswalk. That driver fled the scene. Moments later, a BMW X3, also traveling eastbound, struck the man as he lay on the ground. The 59-year-old driver from Tustin stopped and cooperated with police.
A third car, also described as a dark-colored sedan, then struck the pedestrian once more. That driver also left the scene.
At this time, authorities are working to identify the two hit-and-run drivers. Investigators are asking anyone with information to come forward. The investigation is still underway.
We extend our sincere condolences to the family of the deceased victim.
Pedestrian Accidents in Los Angeles County
Pedestrian crashes in Long Beach and Los Angeles County remain a serious safety issue, especially in areas with heavy foot and vehicle traffic. Busy streets like Ocean Boulevard see high volumes of cars, often leading to increased risks for walkers and cyclists. Sadly, when drivers fail to pay attention, pedestrians are often the ones who suffer the most severe consequences.
Hit-and-run accidents make things even worse. When drivers flee the scene, victims are left without immediate help. It also slows down the ability of police to track what happened and who was at fault. California law requires drivers to stop after any crash, especially those involving injuries or death. Failing to do so is not only illegal but also inhumane.
In cases like this, where multiple drivers may have been involved, it becomes even more important for families to understand their rights. Surviving relatives may be able to pursue a wrongful death claim. This kind of legal action can help recover costs related to funeral expenses, loss of companionship, and more. But hit-and-run cases are complex, especially when drivers cannot be identified quickly.
A wrongful death attorney from Khorshidi Law Firm can play a key role in these situations. We can investigate the crash, gather evidence like surveillance footage or witness statements, and work with police to hold those responsible accountable. Our proficient legal team can also help victims’ families deal with insurance companies that may try to deny or reduce payouts.
If the drivers are eventually identified, civil claims can be made against them for damages. Attorneys know how to navigate these legal questions and fight for the maximum compensation available.
