Commerce, CA (April 6, 2024) – Two people were killed in a multi-car crash that took place in Commerce on Saturday, April 6th. The accident happened around 7:00 a.m. on the 5 Freeway near the intersection with Slauson Avenue.

According to a report from the California Highway Patrol, multiple cars were involved in the accident. The crash resulted in the 1, 2, and 3 lanes being shut down. When police arrived they found multiple people suffering from serious injuries. Two motorists unfortunately lost their lives as a result of the collision. There is no information on what caused the accident to occur. The identities of the victims have not been released at this time. The road was partially closed while police investigated the accident. Motorists were asked to avoid the scene and to find alternate routes of travel if possible.
