Bakersfield, CA (March 15, 2024) – A pedestrian was killed in a crash that took place in Bakersfield on Thursday night, March 14th. The collision took place just before 8:00 p.m. in the 4700 block of Cottonwood Road.

According to the Bakersfield Police Department, a female pedestrian was crossing the road when she was hit by a white pickup truck that was traveling eastbound on Cottonwood Road. The woman, who was not identified, suffered critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the crash scene. The pickup driver stopped following the crash and cooperated with a law enforcement investigation. Police are looking into the accident at this time.
