Bakersfield, CA (July 12, 2024) – Troopers with the California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a fatal accident in Bakersfield on Thursday evening, July 11th. The crash occurred just before 6:00 pm. on Panama Lane near Vineland Road.

According to reports, two cars collided head-on with one another and both sustained heavy front-end property damage. At least one person was killed as a result of the accident. The identity of the deceased victim was not immediately released. Officials have not provided any information on the cause of the collision. There is no word on whether any charges are expected to be filed in connection with the crash. An investigation into the collision remains ongoing. There is no further information available.
