Antelope Valley, CA – Two Killed in Two-Car Crash on Avenue T at 106th St.

Antelope Valley, CA (March 4, 2024) – Authorities in the Antelope Valley were dispatched to the scene of a serious two-car accident on Sunday evening, March 3rd. The crash took place around 7:45 p.m. at the intersection of East Avenue T and 106th Street.

According to a report, the crash involved a red pickup truck and a red sedan. Both vehicles sustained extensive damage in the crash. An elderly couple was trapped inside one of the vehicles as rescue crews worked to free them. Sadly, they later succumbed to their injuries. On Monday, police identified the victims as 83-year-old Jose Maldonado and 87-year-old Daphne Maldonado. The driver of the pickup truck, who was not identified, was taken to a hospital in critical condition. There is no word on the cause of the accident at this time and an investigation remains ongoing. No further information is available.
