Los Angeles, CA (December 2, 2024) – A serious injury bicycle crash occurred on Monday, December 2, at the intersection of West Washington Boulevard and South Westmoreland Avenue in the Harvard Heights neighborhood.

The collision left a cyclist with significant injuries and disrupted traffic in the area for several hours. Emergency responders, including paramedics and the Los Angeles Fire Department, arrived at the scene at approximately 1:33 p.m. after a 911 call reported the incident.  

According to initial reports, the cyclist was hit by a sedan traveling westbound on W Washington Blvd. The impact threw the cyclist several feet from the point of collision, prompting immediate medical attention.  

The injured cyclist was transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in critical condition. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. Police temporarily closed the intersection while they investigated the cause of the crash and directed traffic away from the area. 

No arrests or citations have been issued at this time, and the investigation remains ongoing.
