Los Angeles, CA (August 9, 2025) – An early-morning crash in Los Angeles left one person injured after a car overturned at a busy intersection. The collision happened around 2:25 a.m. on Saturday, August 9, at the crossing of Van Nuys Boulevard and Glenoaks Boulevard, just north of Mulholland Drive.

Witnesses reported hearing a loud bang followed by the sound of metal scraping along the pavement. When first responders arrived, they found one vehicle lying on its side with its roof partially crushed. Broken glass littered the roadway. Another car involved had heavy front-end damage, suggesting a strong and direct impact.

Firefighters quickly stabilized the overturned vehicle to prevent further movement. They then checked for anyone trapped inside before allowing paramedics to step in. One person was treated at the scene and taken to a nearby hospital. The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD)  has not released their identity or condition.

According to the LAPD, at least two vehicles were involved, but the cause of the crash is still under investigation. Investigators are reviewing nearby surveillance footage and speaking to witnesses.

Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward to help identify the hit-and-run driver responsible for the crash.
