Los Angeles, CA (May 29, 2024) – A woman was killed in a pedestrian crash that took place in Los Angeles on Monday, May 27th. The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. in the 1300 block of West 46th Street in the Vermont Square neighborhood.

According to a report, the 33-year-old victim was walking towards her home when she was hit by a vehicle driven by a 31-year-old man, later identified as Dwight Williams. Police say that Williams was driving at a high rate of speed when he made an unsafe turn and collided with the woman, pinning her against a building. The victim, later identified as Lisbeth Estrada Rodriguez, was pronounced dead at the scene. Following an investigation, police charged Williams with vehicular manslaughter and gross negligence. No additional information has been released at this time.
