Orange, CA – Pedestrian Killed in Suspected DUI Crash on Tustin St.

Orange, CA (March 12, 2024) – A pedestrian was killed in a crash that took place in Orange on Monday afternoon, March 11th. The accident happened just after 11:00 a.m. in the 300 block of North Tustin Street.

According to the Orange Police Department, an unidentified man was crossing the street when he was hit by a silver sedan. When rescue workers arrived, they found the pedestrian lying on his back in the roadway. He was pronounced dead at the crash scene. After a brief pursuit, police arrested 31-year-old Jonathan Lopez in connection with the accident. Lopez showed signs of being intoxicated and was later arrested and charged with felony DUI, hit and run, and vehicular homicide. The road was closed for several hours while the crash was investigated. There is no further information available at this time.
