Motorcycle Accidents in Los Angeles
Motorcycle accidents in Los Angeles are alarmingly common, especially in high-traffic areas like the I-105 and I-710 interchanges. Due to their smaller size and lack of protection, motorcyclists often suffer the most severe injuries in traffic collisions. These accidents can result in traumatic brain injuries, spinal damage, broken bones, or internal bleeding—even at moderate speeds.
Los Angeles County has one of the highest rates of motorcycle crashes in California. Many of these accidents are caused by drivers failing to check their blind spots, sudden lane changes, or speeding. When a vehicle crosses into a motorcycle’s path, the rider has very little time to react, which often leads to devastating outcomes.
Injured motorcyclists often face long recoveries, mounting medical bills, and time away from work. In these cases, a personal injury attorney can help victims recover compensation for hospital stays, surgery, rehab, lost wages, and even pain and suffering. Proving fault in motorcycle crashes can be complex, especially when there is little physical protection or evidence left behind. A lawyer can investigate the crash scene, speak with witnesses, and work with experts to build a strong claim on the victim’s behalf.
Many riders also struggle with insurance companies that may try to blame them for the crash, even when they did nothing wrong. An experienced attorney knows how to challenge unfair claims and advocate for the injured rider’s rights.
