Pedestrian Accidents in Los Angeles
Pedestrian accidents in Los Angeles continue to pose serious safety concerns. In dense areas like Koreatown, where cars, motorcycles, and foot traffic all mix, crashes are far too common. When a motorcycle hits a pedestrian, the results are often tragic due to the force and lack of protection.
Los Angeles has seen a rise in pedestrian fatalities over the last decade. In many cases, victims are crossing streets at night or near busy intersections. Despite traffic signals and crosswalks, visibility issues, speeding, and distracted driving often play a role in these devastating collisions. Motorcyclists are also vulnerable, as they have less control and stability than cars, especially when reacting to sudden changes in traffic.
The legal and emotional impact of these crashes can be overwhelming. Families who lose loved ones in pedestrian accidents often face medical costs, burial expenses, and the deep pain of grief. Surviving victims, including drivers or motorcyclists involved in the crash, may deal with trauma, injury, or legal questions. California law allows victims and their families to seek compensation when negligence contributes to a deadly crash.
