Los Angeles, CA – Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash at 91st St & Figueroa St


Los Angeles, CA (July 7, 2025) – A 25-year-old man died after a hit-and-run crash in South Los Angeles on Saturday night, July 5.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the crash happened at the intersection of 91st Street and Figueroa Street. Around that time, the driver of a Porsche Panamera crashed into another car, fatally injuring Emerson Noel Escobar Gonzalez.
Video footage captured bystanders trying to help Gonzalez, who was trapped in his vehicle. Emergency crews responded to the scene, but Gonzalez was pronounced dead before he could be taken to a hospital.
Police say the female driver of the Porsche fled on foot after the crash. Officers later towed the Porsche as part of the investigation.
Authorities are asking for help from the public in identifying and locating the driver involved. The investigation is still underway.
