The following types of deaths may be considered wrongful deaths:
- drunk driver collided with a car and killed the other driver,
- contractor built an unsound house which collapsed and killed the residents,
- drug manufacturer produced a prescription drug that caused a fatal heart attack in a patient that took the drug, and
- doctor failed to disclose to patient that lab report found cancerous cells, allowing the cancer to progress, spread and eventually kill the patient.
